Here's yet another amazing fashion campaign film from Prada. This time this iconic Italian label has teamed up with Rotterdam-based creative agency AMO to create a campaign video showcasing their newly released Autumn/Winter 2013 men's and women's collections.Keep it up!

BOOK | GENESIS BREYER P-ORRIDGE
So excited about a new book documenting the career of Genesis Breyer P-Orridge! A key part of landmark projects COUM Transmissions, Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV, h/she will be publishing a retrospective collecting photographs from across h/er career later this year.

FILM | BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
We all remember Beauty and the Beast from childhood having probably been read it and, even more likely, seen the Disney version. There are however some other very interesting adaptations of this great fairytale, which still has a highly poignant message about acceptance and not judging a book by its cover.
Here's a bit of largely forgotten and overlooked film weirdness. In 1984 Shelly Duvall's kooky Faerie Tale Theatre offered a very interesting production of Beauty and the Beast. Starring Susan Sarandon, Anjelica Huston and Klaus Kinsky as the (cough) handsome prince this version's more Labyrinth than Disney. Quite frankly what's not to love.
The best version (in my opinion)of this fairy tale came much earlier, in 1946, from the superb Jean Cocteau. Cocteau's imagination and the magic he could create using simple editing techniques make this film sublime and pioneering. This film is exceptional and cannot be topped.
There have also been some pretty shocking adaptations but we'll overlook any butcherings of a great story and stick with the good stuff and this cracking quote from the Disney version...
'I want to do something for her... but what?' 'Oh, there's the usual things; flowers, chocolates, promises you don't intend to keep...' -Beast Cogsworth

MUSIC | RATATAT
Little Monday morning treat here. Love a bit of Ratatat and also love this video because there's a white budgie in it.
I had a white budgie growing up and she was called Snowy - no prizes for original names but, in my defense, I was 5 when we got her. She fell out of the nest as a baby so we took her in as a house bird. She was kind of round and viscious. She was well 'ard too, fell out of a first floor window and was mauled by the neighbour's cat but she kept on going. For 14 years no less. She went a bit yellow and her legs kind of wore away so she hobbled about but she could make progress and got as far as the front garden path one day. Her wings were crooked but she was quite happy catching a lift on a foot, clinging to the sock as she rode from room to room, and giving you a good old peck.
Fond memories of the time she hung from my septum like a feathery accessory whilst I wiped tears from my eyes. Tears of pain not joy, it bloody hurt. That was just Snowy's way of saying I love you though and we loved her. R.I.P you crazy white little feathery deformed freaky bird you xx

FASHION | TOGA ARCHIVES
Started in 1997 by designer Yasuko Furat, Toga Archives is a celebrated Japanese label offering some striking ready to wear pieces.
The latest collection has a modern deconstructed feel with some really unique garments in bold but minimal shapes, crafted using creatively chosen techniques and materials such as woven sheer silk in the stunning shorts - top of the summer wish list!
The craftmanship and quirky use of materials and cut make each item very covetable and, as an added bonus, practical - these clothes are just perfect for hot summers but also a great choice for layering come winter. There's really no reason not to invest.
